Fewer plies means a lighter casing and a lower maximum inflation, which suits a mid-weight rig that spends real time on trails: the tire deforms around obstacles at low pressure instead of fighting them, and the unsprung weight penalty of going to a 37 is softened.

The trade is capacity - 116R allows 2,756 lb per tire, well short of what a heavily loaded three-quarter-ton needs, at a 106 mph maximum. Size is 37x12.50R17, so the 17-inch rim leaves generous sidewall for airing down. If your build carries a bumper, winch, rack and fuel, price the Load Range E equivalent instead.
