Cometic C5111-045 is a multi-layer steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket for the BMW S65B40 V8 in a 93mm bore with a .045 in compressed thickness. Sold individually; an S65 uses one per bank.

The thicker .045 in section is the choice when you want to lower static compression on an S65 that is headed for forced induction, or to offset a head that has been milled and would otherwise raise compression and tighten piston-to-valve clearance. Stainless MLS layers keep the seal consistent under boost where a composite gasket would give up.

Verified fitment: 2008-2013 BMW M3 (E90, E92, E93 with the S65 V8).
