ALTA built this cold air intake specifically for the supercharged R53 Mini Cooper S, relocating the filter away from underhood heat. It is finished in black and this part number is for automatic transmission cars only - the manual cars take a different pipe routing.

Verified fitment: Confirmed for 2002-2008 Mini Cooper S, automatic transmission only. The distributor title also references JCW and Convertible bodies of the same era, which share the S platform.

The R53 responds well to intake work because the supercharger is drawing through a restrictive factory box, and a cooler, less obstructed charge is worth having on a blown engine. Expect a noticeably more vocal supercharger whine as part of the deal.
