The Bilstein B8 Performance Plus front left strut assembly (part 22-244307) is a complete, bolt-in replacement strut for the first-generation Mercedes-Benz GLA. It is built as a shortened-body damper intended to pair with aftermarket lowering springs, and applies to cars without the factory electronic (adaptive) suspension.

Verified fitment: 2015-2019 Mercedes-Benz GLA45 AMG 4Matic and 2015-2020 Mercedes-Benz GLA250 (Base and 4Matic). This is the driver-side front unit; one is required per side.

Because the B8 is valved and sized for a lowered ride height, it keeps proper spring preload and bump travel that a stock-length strut loses once the car is dropped, so a lowered GLA stays composed instead of crashing over bumps. Bilstein backs it with a limited lifetime warranty.
