Brembo's GT-R front big brake kit for the E39 chassis: a six-piston billet monobloc caliper, a 380x32mm two-piece floating rotor on an aluminium hat, kit-matched pads, stainless braided lines and vehicle-specific brackets. The caliper body is machined from solid billet rather than cast in halves and bolted together, and is supplied nickel-plated. Every component is engineered together as one system.
Verified fitment
2000-2003 BMW M5 (E39) and 1997-2003 BMW 5-Series (E39). Front axle only. At 380mm this is the larger of the two E39 GT-R packages, so wheel clearance matters - check the Brembo template against your wheels before ordering.
Choosing your rotor face
Drilled gives the pad a fresh edge to bite on with every revolution, helps push water off the disc face in the wet, and vents the gases a hot pad gives off. It is also the classic look through an open wheel.
Slotted keeps the casting continuous, so there is more uninterrupted material in the disc under sustained heat, and the slots sweep glaze off the pad face as it wears in. Cars that see repeated hard stops or track days generally end up on slotted; street and show builds often prefer drilled.
Type-1 vs Type-3 is slot geometry, not a performance grade. Type-1 runs longer, shallower-angled slots; Type-3 runs a shorter, more frequent pattern. Choose on appearance.
