The Eaton Detroit Truetrac is a helical-gear limited-slip differential: it sends torque toward the wheel with grip without clutch packs that wear and need servicing. This unit is for Dana 30 rear axles with 27-spline, 1.15in axle shafts and ring-and-pinion ratios of 3.73 and numerically higher.

Verified fitment: 1970-1975 Volvo 142, 144 and 164; 1975-1992 Volvo 240, 242 and 245; 1976-1981 Volvo 265. Several classic Volvos left the factory with different rear axles, so confirm yours is the Dana 30 with the listed spline count and ratio before ordering.
